XF or XE: Configurations

The latest generation of the Jaguar XE features two trims. The Jaguar XF has four configurations as a sedan and two as a wagon, increasing cargo space.

2020 Jaguar XE – starting at $39,900 MSRP

  • Two sedan trim levels
  • 14.5 cubic feet cargo volume

2020 Jaguar XF – starting at $51,100 MSRP

  • Four sedan trim levels and two Sportbrake (wagon) trim levels
  • 19.1 cubic feet cargo volume in the XF Sedan
  • 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the XF Sportbrake with rear seats up
  • 69.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the XF Sportbrake with rear seats down

When deciding between a Jaguar XF or XE, we recommend that Alhambra drivers compare all of the trims to determine which model best suits their needs because the package included in each can feature major differences. That said, two persistent differences you’ll notice in our 2020 Jaguar XE vs. XF comparison is that the Jaguar XE is considerably more affordable. The XF is much roomier across the board, however.

XF or XE: Engines

Both the XE and the Jaguar XF come standard with rear-wheel drive and feature a 247 hp turbocharged engine that gets an impressive 34 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city. Both models also afford you the opportunity to upgrade to all-wheel drive. Available engine options for each model include:

  • XE: 2.0L 296 hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with AWD
  • XF: 2.0L 296 hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with RWD or AWD
  • XF: 3.0L 380-hp supercharged V6 engine with AWD

As you can see, both models offer ample power, but the XF features a higher ceiling should the standard engine not do the trick.

XF or XE: Standard Features

Regardless of which Jaguar Hollywood drivers choose, they’ll enjoy standard features like a soft grain leather steer wheel and two-zone climate control. You’ll also enjoy Jaguar InControl® Touch Pro™ through a 10-inch touchscreen in your dashboard, as well as Jaguar InControl Remote & Protect™, and compatibility with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. That said, here are the standard features that are unique to each model:

2020 Jaguar XF

  • 10-way power front seats and 40/20/40 split rear-folding seat
  • 380w Meridian™ Sound System
  • Emergency Brake Assist
  • Sliding Moonroof

2020 Jaguar XE

  • Standard Jaguar Sound System with HD Radio™
  • Power Glass Open/Close Moonroof with Power Blind
  • 12-way power front seats

When deciding between the Jaguar XF or XE, the main takeaways are that the Jaguar XE is more affordable and offers enough luxury features to distinguish its overall package as having a great value. It’s elegant and affordable. The XF is pricier, but if you’re able to make the investment, or find a lease offer that works for you, it can offer much higher engine specs, a roomier cabin and cargo bay, and a longer list of high-end interior features.
